"The course was created on over 210 acres of serene rolling hills, tall pines, and Butter Brook which flows directly through the property. Butter Brook is designed in the classic tradition to a par 72, stretching from 5100 yards to over 6800 yards. The course is located on ideal well drained, sandy soils allowing for consistently firm and past play conditions.

Following the timeless style, the natural terrain was studied and the golf holes routed accordingly. The existing rolls and hollows define the strategy for many of the golf holes. On the 6th hole for example, if a player is able to carry two left fairway bunkers that sit into an existing hillock, the backside slope will kick the ball further towards the green and reward players with the best approach angle. There are four sets of tee markers per hole and great variation in green design. The greens have gentle rolls and changes in slope, to place a premium on putting. The bunkers, randomly spread through out the course define shot angles and entice aggressive play. For more information visit www.butterbrookgc.com
